Library Board makes Trustee Appointments

The Board of Trustees of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library is pleased to appoint Jason DiGianni, Maria McMunn and Russell Wise to fill three upcoming vacancies on the Board. Mr. Wise and Ms. McMunn will fill the two Halfmoon vacancies and Mr. DiGianni will fill the vacancy for Clifton Park.

The Board, through its Personnel Committee, considered a number of candidates who expressed an interest in being considered for the appointments. After reviewing background information and conducting interviews, the Board concluded that Mr. DiGianni, Ms. McMunn and Mr. Wise have the right mix of communication skills, sense of community representation and understanding of library priorities and board responsibilities to work effectively with the Board.

These appointments are effective for one year beginning January 1, 2012.

Although Mr. DiGianni, Ms. McMunn and Mr. Wise were selected to fill the upcoming vacancies, the Board was delighted to find that all the applicants were strong candidates and we thank them all for their interest in the Library. We encourage each of them to continue that interest and to consider running for a seat on the Board.
