Judges Named for Annual Juried Show of Art & Photography

Judges have been selected for the 2012 Juried Show of Art & Photography at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library. The Show will be held Friday, November 2-Friday, November 30, 2012 in the Art Gallery at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library. An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, November 3 from 2-3 pm.

Patricia A. McEvoy, a former high school art teacher for over 30 years and a prolific local artist. McEvoy maintains affiliations with the Art Center in Saratoga Springs, the Guild of Adirondack Artists and the Riverfront Gallery. McEvoy states, “I work with the beauty and majesty of the landscape and also am fascinated by the chance compositions that I find around the house.” Her current work may be seen at

Marie Triller, a photographer and educator is widely exhibited and has received numerous awards and honors over her thirty-year career. Her recently published book of photographs, Ten Years: Remembering 9/11(John Isaacs Books, New York) chronicles those who gathered at ground zero on each anniversary of September 11 to honor those lost in the terrorist attacks. Triller has also documented the Mexico/US border. Her photographs exclusively illustrate the book, Border Witness: Youth Confront NAFTA by Maureen Casey. Entry forms with detailed information for the Annual Juried Show of Art & Photography are available at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library, at the Ask-A-Librarian Desk and on the Library’s website, on the left side of the page: What’s Happening, In the Art Gallery. Entries must be submitted to the Library in the Program Rooms on Tuesday, October 23 from 6-8:30pm or Wednesday, October 24 from 10am-12noon. All entries must be accompanied by a fully completed entry form and meet the requirements stated in the informational brochure/entry form.
