About the SALS Online Catalog and Patron Account

Our library catalog, available on our website at www.cphlibrary.org, offers several terrific features and is accessible from anywhere through the Web.

The feature called Patron Account is a great addition. With Patron Account, you can:

Renew books-no more late fees, just log in and renew them
See what you currently have checked out
See what you have on your request list
Change your PIN

Note: You can rest assured that this information is private--only library staff have access to a list of your currently charged-out items. Also, Patron Account uses a secure connection to the server, so data cannot be intercepted by others on the Internet.

Next, at the Patron Account screen, log in with your library barcode number (without spaces) and your 4-digit PIN. If you don't remember your PIN, come in to the library and we will change it for you.

This new catalog version also gives you the ability to put books and audio-visual materials on reserve, and to request them from other libraries. Just click on "Request Title" below the book you want, and enter your card number and PIN number as directed. Please note, some libraries may limit what may be borrowed by patrons from other libraries.

There are still some rules-after all, we are a library! Only Clifton Park and Halfmoon residents may reserve our new books and audiovisual materials. Also, not all items are renewable. Items may be renewed if...

There are renewals left. Most items may be renewed twice.
No one is waiting for the item.
If the item is from interlibrary loan, the lending library allows renewals.
