2012 Summer Reading Clubs

Summer Reading Recap--WOW!

Nook winner Olivier with YA Librarian Joan WeiskottenOver 1,000 children registered for our three summer reading club programs, which covered preschool and elementary aged children and middle and high school teens. These participants read for a combined total of over 5,300 hours. In addition, the library hosted 124 programs this summer with nearly 6,500 attendees! Thank you to all who participated and also to those who encouraged the readers!

Teens who wrote book reviews for the TSRC webpage, attended a teen program at the Library and came in to talk about a book with Young Adult Librarian Joan Weiskotten were entered in a drawing to win a color Nook. This year's winner was Olivier, an Acadia 8th grader. Congratulations, Olivier!

See you all back again next year!
