Story Times
The Library provides a series of Story Times for preschoolers by age group during the fall, winter and spring times of the year. Each series generally runs from 6 to 8 weeks in length and regular attendance is encouraged.
Registration is REQUIRED for the Parent/Child Library Time, Bouncing Babies and Wonderful Walkers programs only. To register, click on the appropriate "Register" link below. Our other Story Time programs are listed as "choose your time." No registration is required, but please be prompt (limite one session per child per week). We ask that you avoid interrupting the session in progress.

Bouncing Babies
This program is for pre-walking infants under 15 months, accompanied by an adult. No siblings, please. Share fun interactive rhymes, songs and simple board books with the baby in your life. Optional brief playtime follows.

Wonderful Walkers
Walking infants under 24 months, accompanied by an adult. No siblings, please. Experience upbeat one-on-one time with your beginning walker. We'll share independent movement activities as well as interactive rhymes, songs, very short books and felt board stories. Short optional playtime follows.
Multiple sessions of this program are offered. Registration is required. Space is limited. See links below to register for each session:
Parent/Child Library Time
Children must be at least 2 years old on the first day of the program and must be accompanied by an adult. Siblings are welcome. For the first 30-35 minutes, children and parents play and interact with others while using age appropriate toys, puzzles, books, and craft materials. The second part of the program includes stories and songs.

Story Time (2-3 year olds)
A lively mix of stories, songs, and rhymes make this a special time for you and your child.Child must be at least 2 years old on the first day of the program and must be accompanied by an adult.

Story Time (4-6 year olds)
This fast-paced program features a lively mix of stories, rhymes, music and occasional short films, and concludes with a simple craft. Parents do not need to attend, but are asked to remain available within the Library building.

PJ Story Time
Drop-in programs for families with children ages 2-6. Diane Payette, local performer and educator will read stories that will be conducive for your little ones to get ready for bed. This will be a quiet story time for working parents to enjoy some quality time with their children.

Preschool Movies (Ages 3-6)
From time to time the Library offers a selection of short, literature-based movies to be enjoyed by preschool children accompanied by an adult.

Family Story Times (Recommended for ages 4 and up)
Family Story Times are offered monthly, usually on evenings or weekends, to allow families to come together to a program of stories, songs, fingerplays, action rhymes, and occasionally simple crafts. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
