Computer Classes
Computer classes for adults are available at no cost at the Library. Registration is required and is on a first come, first served basis, with the suggestion of 5 classes maximum per student per session. Currently, there are no computer classes scheduled in June or December.
Digital Literacy workshops*: Beginning in January 2013 the Library will offer a series of workshops designed to help the public enhance their digital skills. The workshops consist of four classes: Computer Basics for Beginners, Internet Basics for Beginners, Word Basics for Beginners, Digital Communication Basics. Registration includes one class per week for four weeks. Students who wish to receive a Digital Literacy certificate need to attend all four classes in the series as well as complete an assessment at the end of each class.
Upcoming Computer Classes:
* Digital Literacy Workshops were designed by the New York Library Association and New York State Office of Cyber Security & Critical Infrastructure to provide a curriculum that standardizes the digital literacy training content across the state. The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library is one of many training centers in NYS to be offering the public this service
