Using Library Computer Resources
Public computers with Internet access and the software listed below are available with a library card for 1-hour periods, up to 3 hours per day if nobody is waiting. Access for patrons under the age of 18 requires signed parental consent. See Library Computer and Internet Policy. Patrons unfamiliar with the use of computers are encourage to take one of the library's free computer classes.
Laptops, with the software listed below, are also available for in-house loaning to CPH Library tax district cardholders age 18 and older and in good standing with the library. All borrowers must sign a Laptop Loan Agreement at the Ask-a-Librarian Desk and leave their library card and a valid photo I.D. The use of the laptops counts towards the 3 hour per day limit. Public printers are available in the Copy/Print room near the elevator for printing from the Library computers at a cost of $.10/page (single-sided) and $.15/page (double-sided) for black and white printing, and $.50/page for color.
Document and Photo Scanner
An HP Scanjet 8300 is available in the Copy/Print Room for public use and may be used for scanning documents, photos, 35mm slides and negatives. Files may be saved in jpeg, tiff, pdf and Word formats to personal flash drives, CDs, and floppy disks.
