Reading

How I love to read.
Reading is so magical.
I can read all day
And chase my cares away.
Reading suits me well
It's like picking up a shell
So quiet and so beautiful.
When I read I feel like I'm
In the story, like a shadow.
I paint pictures in my head
As I read each paragraph.
I could read one million books
And still want more.
As I read each book
It's like opening a door
Into adventure and mystery,
Kindness and sadness,
Happiness and grief.
I could lose myself in reading
Be in another dimension
For what seems like years.
