Summer

Long, hot days
And cool, short nights,
Seasons aren't like it.

Why? Because of one thing
Every child enjoys.

What? No school! Of course.

As the summer rolls along
Vacations come and go
Swimming at the pool gets boring
Hot days seem to be a lot worse than
They used to be.

Sometimes I even get excited for school.

But when it comes time for really going
I wish it were still summer.
