"The Tale of the Soldiers of Stone"

by Robert

Two gargantuan soldiers of stone
Seemingly impenetrable stand
Holding hundreds of unaware
And calm beings
Just following their daily routine

Suddenly,
Many people see a normal,
Hard working device made to
Copy a bird
Nobody knew this would become
The fatal conclusion to many
Innocent beings' lives

The controller of this was
The cruelest, most deranged
Maniac sent to this earth by Satan who
Caused the biggest loss of life ever
In the history of the United States of America

Suddenly a dark cloud of debris
Comes from one of the soldiers
People stood gaping at this event
Waiting, waiting for something to emerge

Suddenly, many people see fire coming from the cloud of debris
People evacuate the soldier
Calming themselves by saying that everything is okay
People above the crash evacuate to the head of the soldier
And those below escape to the foot
Fire came out in a big bright red
And orange explosion as bright as the sun

There was a dark cloud of evil
Mixed with a blindingly bright pain
The sight was sickening as it plummeted to the ground
Taking many beings with it
Many people sobbed in pain
For those struck by the bird machine of doom

Suddenly, a second bird machine of evil
Hit the other soldier with the same
Awesome, sickening sight

It crumbled and fell all the way
To the ground slaughtering all
The innocent beings above it
Causing even more grief
All that lay left of the two soldiers
Was a pile of bones and flesh

Then the saviors came in red and yellow
And threw themselves into the abyss
Of bones and flesh
Knowing they might not come back

Oh the courage it took to dive
Into the abyss knowing you may not
Come back due to a fall of the flesh
Of the Giant Soldiers of Stone

They managed to salvage many beings
But lost others in turn
In the pile of bones
Of the Giant Soldiers of Stone
That only made it worse, knowing they had no hope

Many other beings, tried to save their loved ones
Most to no avail
People cried in pain
Swearing revenge on those who killed their brothers
Their pain can't be matched with any past event
And hopefully never will
