For onsite volunteers only, references will be required and all volunteers must read and sign the Library’s Prevention of Abuse and Molestation Policy.

English Language Learning (ELL)AdultsTimeframe: On-going. Classes offered Sept-June.
Teach classes (multiple levels offered, weekday mornings or evening) or Tutor students on a one-to-one/small group basis.
Commitment 1.5-2 hours/week

VolunTEEN: Library SupportGrades
9-12
Timeframe: November-June
Help with Library-related tasks, cleaning, and events.
Commitment: 4-10 hours per school year

VolunTEEN: Summer ReadingGrades
6-8 and Grades 9-12
Timeframe: June-August

Grades 6 to 8: Register for VolunTEEN events at the Library. Events may include support for the Library, or other community service projects. Visit the Library events calendar for more details.

Grades 9 to 12: Assist with the Library’s Summer Reading Club, Library events, passive programming, craft prep and more!

Commitment: Varies

Grades 9 to 12: Register in May using Library events calendar; spots fill up quickly.
VolunTEEN: Book ReviewersGrades
6-12
Timeframe: On-going
Read a teen book published within the last 24 months and write a review.
Commitment: 3-15 hours per year
To apply: Write a review online – 3 hours per review
VolunTEEN: Advisory Program (VTAP)Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12Timeframe: October to April

Commitment: Attend between 1 and 4 meetings. Meetings are held on Thursday evenings in October, December, February and April. Check the Library events calendar for specific dates and times.

Chat with other teens and share your ideas for our Library! Meetings may include other community service activities or crafts, along with the discussion.

Donate

Monetary donations in memory or in honor of a loved one are gratefully accepted. Donations may be used to purchase materials, equipment, or sponsor programs. Donation forms are available at Circulation or print a completed form and bring it with you to the Library.

Book donations are accepted by the Friends of the Library. Please visit their website for the latest guidelines on book donations.

*Please note book donations are not accepted generally two weeks prior or after a Used Book Sale.
